RENÉE FABIAN - BIO
Renée Fabian, originally from Pennsylvania, gave over 150 performances as a saxophonist, taught private lessons and served as the music supervisor for an after-school music program in Washington, D.C., before hanging up her shingle in favor of writing about the arts. Currently working full time on the Creative Services team at The Recording Academy in Santa Monica, Calif., she also assists the director of Making Music & More LLC with creative and administrative projects, and has served as a freelance writer and editor for publications such as Bestcovery, Melinda Fabian, Illustrator and Music & Sound Retailer. Renée holds a B.M. in Saxophone Performance from West Chester University and an M.A. in Arts Journalism from the University of Southern California. She currently resides with her two cats in the sunny metropolis of Los Angeles.
